Design
Motopop in general terms consists of an engine and impeller installed on the shaft. The water enters and goes through the hoses (or pipes, as a rule, if the pump is constantly installed), which are connected by a threaded method (the more powerful the pump, the greater the diameter of the hose should be used). Optionally there are various sensors, for example, to protect against dry move (there is no water in the system, and the pump continues to work until it burns out, and you will not have to wait long, there is enough for a couple of minutes), the pressure sensor (special case is a pumping station, this is simplified, this is simplified. pump + sensor + hydraulic accumulator, the work is automated on the principle of “opened the valve – the pump shakes – water goes”), thermallara (turn off when overheating, sometimes helps dry when working, but do not rely on it) and protection against overload.
Advantages and disadvantages
Undoubtedly, the advantage of such motops can be considered their excellent maintainability – everything is in sight, under full control, and is rapidly replaced by replacement. The exception is a pumping station where the pump and the accumulator are assembled in the case – monoblock. As an example, look at the German -Chinese Gardena often found in stores.
The second positive moment – such a water supply system is very mobile, easily mounted and dismantled almost anywhere – one hose in the water, the second on the target (for example, watering plants, for which the surface pump is often called garden, or fire extinguishing, which is more relevant for motorcycle lines for motor gasoline or diesel fuel with great performance, often they are bought precisely for this task according to the requirements of the fire department). In the gardens where people spend the weekend, often make an easily distinct (quick -removable) water supply system, when the pump is cleaned in the barn during the absence of people.
Now about the minuses. The pump works loudly enough, in the living room it is not to put it. It is also not used in the cold, there is a risk that the pump body cracks or bursts when the water freezes in it. Repair is possible, but most often it is easier to buy a new.
Be sure to pay attention to the fact that the superficial motorcycle does not lift water from a depth of more than eight meters. Equality is true for the absorption line: one meter vertically corresponds to ten meters horizontally. The greater the distance from the pump to the water, the more powerful engine will cope with the provision of acceptable pressure and performance characteristics. They are reduced depending on how much depth, how high (or far) the pump drives water. On a low -power device, pressure losses will be, of course, higher.
Electronsos
Easy to circulate and in general cases is cheaper than gasoline or diesel. Household version works under a voltage of 220 volts. Three -phase 380 V are used in industry, it makes no sense to talk about them here. Provides pressure on average from 1.5 to 4 bar and productivity (the amount of pumped water) from 1400 to 3500 liters per hour. It is often more convenient to count in minutes, just divide the hourly value by 60.
Pump with ICE
Or, in another, motorcycle. It differs from electric with greater performance, with 10,000 l/h, as a rule, only begins. Gasoline or diesel engines. Among the information about the first, you can find the word “two -stroke” or “four -stroke”. Without going into the subtleties, on relatively low -power pumps, the engines are refueled by a pre -prepared fuel mixture – gasoline in the ratio with special engine oil. Motopop does not depend on electricity, it works everywhere, pumps out any water in which logs do not swim. This is an exaggeration, of course, but the mud variety can drain ponds and pools, pump out the sewer, especially powerful are on pumping oil products. The high -packed version shakes clean water, less, but with a large output pressure, and is used in autonomous water supply of houses, it is only necessary to store fuel somewhere and remove the exhaust gases of the engine.
